Members of the Dunn, Monfort, Langford, and Taylor families emigrated to Minnesota from New York State and Pennsylvania in the 1850s and 1860s. F. Scott Fitzgerald was born Sept. 24, 1896 in St. Paul Minnesota. He began writing while a student at Princeton University. He met his wife, Zelda, while serving in the US Army stationed in Alabama.
